Now this is one CHAOTIC (and shallow) barrel. And Shane Gallas is one of those surfers that is just built differently. He loves charging big, gnarly tubes and even seems to thrive in them. Not just on occasion, either. He’s consistently on it when these big swells clean up and pummel the South Bay during the winter.
But, did Shane make it? Since we’re on the verge of the winter swell season, I examined this heaving barrel I caught on film and talk about whether he made it or not. Regardless, it was fun to watch. Enjoy the show.
