A lot goes on around a contest site leading up to a World Tour stop. It’s not uncommon for the CT’s pros to get into town early in droves then warm up incessantly at whatever spot they’ll be competing. However, Margaret River seems to be one of those places where the Tour’s roster really likes to lean into that routine, even sticking around after the jerseys come off to soak in as much time as possible in the southwest region of Western Australia. From the diversity of waves on offer to the area’s beautiful vineyards, restaurants, and even the scenery, there a lot of options when the surf is firing, or even when it isn’t.
