Every time Kai Neville and Craig Anderson get together, something magic happens. Remember Welcome Elsewhere, for example? Or The Quieter You Are, the More You Can Hear? When it comes to surf films that are far better than average, Neville and Anderson are something of a match made in heaven. Well, the newest one just dropped onto the internet, and it’s no different. Ceremony is one of the better surf films we’ve seen in a long, long time.
The idea behind it is relatively common: escape from the everyday. “Unfazed by isolation and in a celebration of solitude, Craig quiets the sound of daily minutia with ceremonial treks into the deserted unknown,” the film’s description reads. “Craig Anderson’s Ceremony celebrates the luxury of silence and a desire to disappear into the lonely landscapes in search for rare and isolated waves to ride.”
