Craig Anderson has this thing going on with his surfing that makes it very easy to watch. He surfs waves of consequence with a strange kind of lackluster interest. He is interested, of course — very much so — but his knocked knees and dangling arms make it seem as though he’s thinking about something else all the time.
It’s stylish, to be sure, which is a hard thing to truly define. Hard to define, but easy to spot. Craig Anderson’s got it, and it’s on full display in Hurt Locker, an edit from Zion Wetsuits. Also included are Ben Howard and Lewie Dunn, two other surfers who make great surfing even easier to watch.
