If you’re a hard-working person, you and a group of friends will scrimp and save for a few years. Then, if you’re lucky, you’ll all figure out how to get time off from work at the same time and head somewhere with swaying palms, perfect waves, and cold beers at the end of the day. You will be on a boat trip, hopefully, and it will be such a good trip that it will ruin the rest of your life, if only because nothing else can compare. “These violent delights, Friar Lawrence warned Romeo, “have violent ends.”
