The 2020/2021 winter was not, by any stretch of the imagination, a good one. Overall, at least. But when it came to waves on the North Shore… hoo boy, it was good. The Colapinto brothers’ Hawaiian highlights just dropped onto their YouTube page a few days ago, and it’s (more) proof that they’re the up-and-comers to watch for.
“This 2020/2021 Winter season in Hawaii was without a doubt our best to date,” they wrote on YouTube. “Here are all of our best waves and us breaking it down at the end!”
Now, of course, they’re in Australia for the first leg of the four-stop WSL tour. They’re out of quarantine, tested negative for the ol’ Ronavirus, and raring to go. But no matter how good the waves get in Australia, it’s going to be hard for them to top what went down on the North Shore this past winter, and the Cola brothers sucked up every last drop of that famous Hawaiian juice.
