Clay Marzo surfing

The Inertia

Clay Marzo is on a different level. He sees things in waves that others don’t. He can do things that no one else can. And, unlike many extraordinarily talented surfers, it feels as though he sincerely does not care whether anyone is watching him surf. He would be doing the same brand of unbelievable surfing if he did it completely alone with no one there to see him do it. Thankfully for fans of really, really good surfing, he’s got obligations. And so, we get to watch.

The video you see here is touted on his YouTube channel as “an average day for Clay Marzo.” As you can see, his average day, even when the waves are just average, is filled with maneuvers that seem at first glance to be impossible. They seem that way after countless more glances, but somehow Clay is consistently able to do the impossible.
