In May, this 35-foot Humpback Whale was trapped in Southern California’s Ventura Harbor and was lured to freedom by wildlife officials using an underwater microphone to braodcast whale calls. The whale’s escape from the marina was celebrated by the entire community. And this footage of the incident captured by Pacific Eagle Air Cam, has gone viral. And for good reason.
