At eight-and-a-half months pregnant, Carissa Moore is about to give birth any day now. But that hasn’t kept her from making some big moves on the business front. She recently signed two deals to extend her long-term relationships with sponsors Hurley and Red Bull.

Moore’s agent, Bryan Taylor, confirmed the deals with The Inertia

“Both of Carissa’s Red Bull and Hurley agreements were expiring at the end of last year, and we’re grateful to turn the page with two new contracts that extend our relationship with both of these great organizations well into the future,” said Taylor.

Taylor couldn’t provide specific figures regarding the value or duration of the deals, but he said it was safe to call them “multi-year” agreements.

Moore’s partnership with Red Bull began in 2008, predating her rise to the Championship Tour, while her relationship with Hurley started in 2013, when the brand took on athletes following Nike’s exit from surfing.

Moore took to Instagram to announce the Hurley deal, writing, “As I enter 2025, a year of unknown and beautiful possibility, I am excited and honored to continue my journey with the “H” on my board. Thank you for believing in me, Hurley.”

Her last event on the WSL Championship Tour was the Lexus Pipe Pro in early 2024. Since then, she announced she was stepping away from the tour (carefully avoiding the word “retirement”) and earned fifth place at the Paris 2024 Olympics in Tahiti while surfing pregnant.

Even as she steps away from competition and focuses on motherhood, the 32-year-old Olympic gold medalist and five-time world champ is clearly still valued by her biggest brand partners. And given that these deals extend several years into the future, maybe Moore hasn’t ruled out a return to competitive surfing when the time is right.
