Caity Simmers has been a rising star for quite some time now. She lived up to the hype when she won a WSL World Championship, and as of this writing, is currently sitting in the pole position in the rankings. VEIA Supplies, co-founded by John John Florence, just added her to its roster of ambassadors.
“We are proud to announce that Caity Simmers, WSL World Champion and current WSL World Number 1 has joined the VEIA global team,” VEIA wrote. “With her progressive style both in and out of the water, Caity sets the standard for today’s version of professional surfing.”
Simmers, who was born and raised in Oceanside, California, is incredibly casual in the way she goes about dominating the surfing world. Although she qualified for the Championship Tour in 2022, she turned down the opportunity to make entirely sure she was ready for a life on the road. The next year, though, she made her presence known. She won the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal and the VIVO Rio Pro, and was the runner up at the SHISEIDO Tahiti Pro. When her first season on tour ended, she was ranked fourth. Then, in 2024, she started the year off with a bang by winning the Lexus Pipe Pro and ended by earning the world title.
“VEIA Supplies is proud to partner with Caity on tour and beyond, working closely to develop and improve our supplies wherever we can, including her pro models, which will drop this summer,” VEIA continued. “Let’s go Caity!”
