The Inertia

If you’ve been following the Championship Tour, then you’re very familiar with the name Brisa Hennessy by now. The Costa Rican has been crushing it this season, taking home the overall win at Sunset Beach and currently battling it out for that final five slot at Trestles. It’s easy to see that Hennessy is a talented surfer, but she also knows her way around a kitchen as well.

The daughter of a professional chef, good, healthy food was a staple in Hennessy’s home growing up and she developed a passion for cooking. When she’s not in the water, she spends her time experimenting with new, healthy recipes. As a professional athlete, she lives by the philosophy that it’s important to fuel her body with nutritious ingredients, so she sticks to a mainly plant-based diet.

In the above video, Hennessy walks us through how to make her homemade dark chocolate truffles. Containing just five ingredients, these truffles are vegan, raw, and refined-sugar free, so not only do they taste good, but they’re good for you as well.
