Maui is a windy place. Maui surfers have to learn to surf with the wind because otherwise, they’re not surfing very much. That, of course, produces a very special type of surfer: one who surfs above the lip, playing in the wind. Braiden Maither is one of those surfers, and it is good to see his high-flying antics again, mixed with a tube here, a tube there, and that trademark Maither hack.
