This is a glimpse into a bodysurfing session with the locals of Oahu’s west side. Underground bodysurfers in Hawaii have sought out different breaks to further the progression of bodysurfing. The Westside spots are highly protected by locals. I can’t stress the importance of exercising caution and respect enough when visiting or even shooting here. I’ve been shooting here for many years, and I’ve been approached half of the time to not shoot there. They mostly do not want me to shoot the breaks, or if I do, they do not want me to tag where it is exactly. Understandably, they really want their breaks protected so as to avoid overcrowding. Have to respect that.
