It’s difficult to fathom surfing Pipeline. It’s much more difficult to imagine surfing Pipeline without being able to see. Brazilian surfer Derek Rabelo hasn’t allowed blindness to obstruct his passion for surfing – he’s managed to surf Pipeline, one of the world’s deadliest waves, with many of the world’s best professional surfers, and he continues to search for more challenging waves. After Pipeline, what’s next for Derek? He’s hoping to tackle Jaws. If history is any indicator, chances are he’ll do it.
