Germany’s newest wave pool has been getting a lot of hype lately. On the other hand, hype isn’t always a bad thing. In the latest video originating from O2 Surftown MUC, Blair Conklin and Victoria Vergara team up for some exhilarating POV tandem footage.
This trip was far from Blair’s first time in the pool. In fact, at this point, he might be the conductor of the O2 Surftown MUC hype train. The last time he visited, he deemed the facility to be the most skimmable pool he’d ever seen, owing to a long, shallow run-up that’s perfectly angled for takeoff.
However, the key difference between this video and Blair’s other posts from Munich is the presence of longboarder Victoria Vergara. According to Blair, the Reunion Island surfer (and professional model) had the pool completely dialed in pretty much immediately. That’s a good thing, because he followed that statement up by hurtling straight at her from the sidelines.
“I think I just got the most dreamy clip of my life,” summed up Blair afterwards, and he wasn’t wrong. Sure, there’s been follow-cam footage from other surfers before, but it’s a different perspective entirely for that follow cam to come barreling in from the shore, trade places with the surfer, then kick out over the back.
Who needs a drone when you have Blair.
