December 2 was a day to remember. It was the day Jaws turned the volume up to levels we haven’t seen in a long time. It was the real beginning of the big wave season in the Northern Hemisphere, and it started off with a bang. Everyone who’s anyone in the big wave world was there to greet the swell, including Kai Lenny and Ian Walsh, and it was a day so full of epic rides we’ll likely be seeing clips trickling in for weeks to come. It wasn’t just guns out there, either. Sean McClenahan decided to take a skimboard out and see what Jaws is like finless. When the wind picked up, the tow (and kite) boards came out, proving once again that the people who surf Jaws will ride whatever is necessary to catch a bomb.
