The Inertia

A few days ago, Ben Gravy announced he was leaving New Jersey for greener (and warmer) pastures. However, the proclamation turned out to be completely ironic, as he had in fact shipped off to the immeasurably colder waters of Nova Scotia. Since then, a followup video shows that the adventure has been yielding way more than just hypothermia.

That’s right, Ben Gravy scored honest-to-goodness tubes in sub-zero conditions. “Our trip up north took a pretty expected turn this morning. Yes, expected,” he wrote in the caption. “The snow has stopped, but the temperature has dropped to ridiculous numbers below freezing. This was a massive winter storm pushing through the Northeast and I’m stoked that we ended up scoring a few big tubes in these frigid temps here in Nova Scotia.”

Even with those admittedly lovely looking barrels, it’s a shock that Gravy managed to maintain his stoke throughout the entire brutal session. Still, even while wearing presumably a thousand-mil suit and contending with literally frozen hair, Ben Gravy emerged from the water with his trademark optimism. “Negative temperatures, couple tubes, beautiful conditions,” he said. “If this clips goes any longer, John’s gonna lose his hand.”
