Ben Gravy has made a career out of chasing waves. Not normal waves, mind you, but very weird waves. Waves like the ones a ferry makes when it passes by a shallow section. Waves like the ones you see above.
After scoring a fun Outer Banks session (not seen in the video), Ben and Rob Kelly decided to try and surf a ferry wave. At first, it wasn’t so good. But man oh man, did the second go-around work out. “Somehow, someway, this ferry wave keeps getting better!?” Gravy writes. “Today was by far the biggest ones that I’ve ever witnessed.”
