The Inertia

When one thinks of European surfing, it usually evokes mental images of sun-kissed Biarritz or Peniche, maybe Nazare if you’re an insane person. However, those places are all inside the box, and Ben Gravy hates being inside of the box.  As such, the latest Ben Gravy European tour began in a river in Germany.

After chasing a few tanker waves, Gravy went on a quick detour to Wasserski Langenfeld, home to a landlocked artificial wave. From there, Gravy got back to the true purpose of his Eurotrip: surfing Hurricane Don in the North Sea. This brought him to Belgium, where they were greeted with overcast skies, gale force winds… and some honest to god Belgian waves.
