By now, you’ve likely heard about the historic swell that slammed New Jersey. It was touted as “the biggest ever,” and the footage and images certainly don’t contradict that statement. Ben Gravy, who calls New Jersey home, wasn’t going to miss a swell like that, so he headed home from Hawaii to try and snag a few cold East Coast bombs.
“This weekend was absolutely bonkers,” he said. “I landed back in New Jersey from my Hawaii trip with just about enough time to brush my teeth before I was packing my car up for the Historic ’20-25ft’ swell forecast 50 year storm in New Jersey.”
Now, Ben’s seen a lot of New Jersey swells, so he’s in a pretty decent position to make comment on the size of this one. “I’ve really never seen anything like this,” he wrote. “I was stoked to find some grinding tubes all whilst washing off a heavy trip to the North Shore of Oahu.”
A decent welcome home present, wouldn’t you say?
