The Inertia

Psychic Migrations. Ever heard of it? If you’ve seen it then you’ll agree that Brazil’s Yago Dora was nothing short of magical in that film. There’s something peculiar about his beat that makes you think this boy is destined for success of epic proportions—free surfing, competitive, or whatever it may be. At only 18 years 0ld, Yago has already made quite the reputation for himself. He appears to have found the perfect balance between aerials and power surfing, while somehow maintaining a seemingly effortless style.

But what separates Yago from the rest of the cohort is his unrivaled flow and creativity. There’s perhaps not another surfer his age who is more relaxed and confident while drawing those bizarre lines. Speaking of which, how was that indy grab chop hop at 5:09? Ever seen something like that? We sure as hell haven’t.

Without further ado, here’s Yago Dora, Marcelo Trekinho, Marcos Sifu, Alan Fendrich, and Mateus Herdy going mad around some of Central America’s finest waves. The perfect combination of barrels, turns, and aerials.
