Surfers in Los Angeles got to kick off 2020 with a crazy swell, finding big barrels that were well overhead at different beach breaks and some of the Southland’s points.
Of course, swells like this in the City of Angels come with more closeouts than open faces. But that’s also part of the charm because every once in a while, somebody pulls into a gem. Here, a handful of surfers found 2020’s first round of them. Surfers include Hunter Jones, Shane Gallas, Merrick Cunningham, Noah Collins, Matt Mohagen, Kyle Brown, Chad Parks, and others.
