Part two of my journalistic trip to Mexico covers us crossing the border into Tijuana, meeting a local journalist from El Zeta newspaper, learning about the “cash or lead” proposition that forces many into the business of drug smuggling and more. This trip was funded by profits from book sales that I saved from selling Surfing the Middle East: Deviant Journalism from the Lost Generation.
