MySURF TV just served up a compilation edit of some choice clips from across the Australian continent. Tubes, airs, broken boards, this one’s got it all. Also, nothing screams “Australian Surf Edit” more than tearing up a peak to what sounds like a didgeridoo.
It’s like Nicolas Roeg’s Walkabout, but with less commentary on the role of memory in coming-of-age stories, or exploration of the failures of communication, or self-immolation. Okay, it’s nothing like Walkabout.
MySURF TV summed it up better in the description of its YouTube post: “From the Box at Margies to some of the best runs of swell we’ve seen in South East Queensland… It doesn’t get much better than this.”
