Austin Keen made serious waves the last time he was at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch. It’s likely you’ve seen the footage of his no-paddle skim entry into the wave — it went insanely viral, and for good reason — and recently, he had a chance to go there again.
“I I can’t believe I got a second opportunity to skim the Surf Ranch, a.k.a. Kelly Slater wave pool!” he wrote.
This time, however, he tried out surfing a plain ol’ surfboard as well, but he also just HAD to recreate the sprint entry. And honestly, watching him do it again doesn’t make it any less impressive. If anything, it makes it more impressive — because now we know it wasn’t just a fluke.
