In the late ’90s and early 2000s, Andy and Bruce Irons were really starting to build a head of steam. Andy was a few years from his first world title. The brothers were, by nearly all accounts, the most aggressive surfers in the water. Bobby Martinez hadn’t yet dropped the mic on pro surfing, and Conan Hayes was probably tinkering with the idea of what would eventually become RVCA. All four surfers changed the game, and Taylor Steele pointed his camera at them right when things were just getting good.
