Surf etiquette. What is it and are you surfing respectfully? Does your local surf spot have an etiquette problem?
I noticed something different with the last swell at Trestles. Surf etiquette actually seemed to be improving at one of the most iconic surf spots in the world. Maybe it was just a fluke day, but we can hope right?
With great waves comes great crowds and sometimes that can lead to issues in the lineup. I’ve been filming at Malibu the last few years and etiquette has seemingly gone out the window. And it can be downright dangerous. But at Trestles the drop-ins, snaking, there was less of it and more civility. Let’s take a look at what I’m talking about.
