Filmed over the past winter in various surf spots around New Zealand, the idea behind this film was to document winter through my eyes—the road trips, the cold weather, and, of course, the beautiful people. There are, however, no pro surfers in the film. Instead, there’s just the frothiest South Islanders you’ll ever meet. To put it lightly, it’s been an experience and a half shooting this film. I’ve met so many people, drank a whole lot of coffee, clocked up heaps of kilometers, and experienced a whole lot of New Zealand. This is part one of the film, and it’s just the beginning. Thanks to everyone I’ve met along the way for your hospitality, patience, and generosity. Here’s to next winter.
