Snapper Rocks has been going off lately and if you’re reading this, you might be the only person on Earth who isn’t already in that lineup. Recently, we saw footage of the crazy amount of drop-ins at Coolangata’s premiere break, but surely that’s not a problem for CT Champion and bona fide legend Mark Occhilupo, right?
Think again, because even Occy gets burned at Snapper sometimes, as shown on the Surf Eye’s YouTube channel. In the clip, Occy gets off to a rough start on a pretty heavy wipe-out, but recovers in spectacular fashion – until a rogue funboarder decides to make it a party wave. However, unlike the goons we saw last week, Occy takes it in stride, even managing to weave in a few turns while drafting behind his new unexpected teammate.
We get it, that lineup is absolute chaos and being dive-bombed once you finally get to shoot your shot can be maddening, but when in doubt, be like Occy.
