The Inertia

Matt Parker’s got a background in fine art and graphic design, and basically everything about his company reflects that. Album boards are equally wave riding machines, and aesthetically pleasing pieces of craftsmanship, and they’ve got some pretty interesting alternative shapes to boot. True to form, Album Surf just dropped a new short film on its YouTube channel, and it’s got the retro stylings and modern flair the San Clemente board manufacturer is known for.

“Silvermoon” features Victor Bernardo and McKenzie Bowden and was filmed by Joe Duerr and edited by Dan Scott. It opens with playful faux-vintage visuals from land, before snapping into HD for some smooth surfing on beautiful watercraft. In a nice change of pace from all the burn or drop-in videos we come across, the video ends with Bernardo and Bowden gleefully sharing a wave. The two teammates nimbly dance back and forth, swapping places next to the curl, before shooting each other a look and kicking out. That’s what it’s all about.
