The Inertia

According to Brazilian surf publication Revista Hardcore, current ASP World No. 1 Adriano De Souza sustained an injury to his right knee during a surf trip in the Maldives this week. He is currently in Brazil undergoing physiotherapy.

Dr. Marcelo Barboglian, a physician who has treated De Souza for eleven years, told reporters that the injury was minor and De Souza should fully recover by July 10th – four days before the waiting period begins for the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay.

Anxious to further his World Title campaign, De Souza told reporters he planned to compete at Jeffreys Bay.
