Tim Bonython has seen a lot of giant swells. But the swell that hit Cloudbreak in May of 2018 was one for the books. Tim was on hand to witness absolute mastery in the big wave realm as Fiji’s crown jewel went code red.
“One of the great swell events of the century, when literally all the best big wave surfers converged on Fiji’s Cloudbreak to ride possibly the best monster left hand wave on the planet like Ramon Ravarro did,” Tim wrote on YouTube. “This edit is taken from the BIG WAVE PROJECT 2.”
Kelly Slater, Garrett McNamara, Alex Grey, Bill Kemper, Kai Lenny, Laurie Towner, Nathan Florence, and Koa Rothman among others, all make appearances. And the waves provided the ultimate stage.
