The Inertia

I’ll admit it. I haven’t watched Stranger Things. Not yet at least. I’m as keen as any to take up a new show that’s trending. And now that the first season of Westworld has wrapped up, it might be time to transition to something else. Anyway, when I first came across this little short film, I had no idea that the hit Netflix show was based on something called the Montauk Project – an alleged series of U.S. government projects to develop psychological warfare. Crazy!

Having lived in New York for two years, I’ve been out to Montauk a few times. I’ve even been to Camp Hero where the project (allegedly) all went down. It’s all pretty nuts. While in New York, I also became accustomed to flat spells and the lengths people might go through to entertain themselves when waves are scant. The video above appears to be the result of a flat spell (aka boredom), curiosity, the popularity of the series Stranger Things, all coming together.
