Super Suck totally doesn’t suck. In reality, it rules. Hard. Located in a bay off Sumbawa, the risk/reward, as you see here, is quite worthwhile. Where, if you botch the take-off, you’re destined to be skewered, if you make it, an extra long and glassy left barrel awaits. Koby Abberton, for example, gets his and shows off the wave’s playful side. Like we said, risk/reward.
Don’t let the chill Michael Franti soundtrack fool you, though, as Super Suck isn’t a place to take lightly. However, we don’t witness any serious spills here. The frame or two of a surfer liming a reef cut gives you somewhat of an idea of the price you can pay. We’d imagine it gets worse than that.
