Most of the time when you see a Nias clip floating around on the internet, it’s massive Lagundri Bay. Boats are flipping, people are getting violently shoved down to the bottom, and the whole thing looks very, very difficult to surf. But, just like every other place in the world, the waves in and around Nias aren’t always huge. It has normal days. It has bad days. It has days everywhere in between, and seeing it on a day like the one featured by Nobody Surf in the video above is a refreshing reminder that even on Nias, where the waves can be death-defying, the Average Joe could still snag a wave they won’t ever forget.
