Each video clip, magazine and advertisement that hits the surf scene reminds us of the sad reality of our own surfing abilities. This is because most of the time we only see a surfer’s success. What these videos do not show (most of the time) are the dozens of closeouts and hundreds of failed attempts at a lipper, aerial, or power gauge. I’m here to tell you that you shouldn’t be that discouraged with your surfing. Professional surfers are not invincible. They fall just as hard, and as often, as you and I. As optimistic as you might feel at the moment, I must warn you – this clip is not for the faint-hearted.
