A few days ago, the surf world was rocked by the news of Jean da Silva’s death. It’s devastating, but there is, at least, one tiny glimmer of good that can be taken from the tragedy: our tiny little surfing community puts aside all the bullshit for a while and collectively mourns the loss of one of our own, even if we didn’t know him personally. Jean da Silva will be remembered for his powerful smile and powerful surfing. Here are a few minutes of both of them just to remind you how good he really was.
