It’s been an outstanding run of swell in January up and down the West Coast, from Washington to Southern California. In California’s southern reaches especially, it’s been big and clean for days. When that aforementioned swell comes out of the west or even northwest, the Queen of the Coast turns into wave-riding magic (with the help of the perfect offshore winds, no doubt). Pros or Joes, it doesn’t matter, any type of surfer can enjoy the gorgeous walls of the iconic right-hand point break. The nice piece of editing you see above was posted to Surf Rinse Repeat’s YouTube page and it’s a thing of beauty.
