Surfing is always fun to watch but the cherry on top is watching it done with style and control. Good style can’t really be taught. It’s learned and acquired during years of work and refinement. It’s like that 10,000 hours theory that Malcolm Gladwell wrote about. It takes that long to become an expert. “Practice isn’t the thing you do once you’re good. It’s the thing you do that makes you good,” he wrote.
Control – and style – comes from hours of work. It’s an amazing thing to watch once it’s attained.
So sit back and enjoy this six-minute episode of beautiful surfing. An examination of style and control.
