The Inertia

The coast of New Jersey got hit with a little pre-Christmas swell this year. The waves were about six to eight feet with those perfect west winds.

Photographing waves in New Jersey comes and goes because of how inconsistent it is here, rarely getting the correct combination of size and wind direction. This swell lasted the whole day, though, so I spent the afternoon mainly shooting off the Ocean Grove fishing pier that got ruined in Hurricane Sandy.
