After a serious patellar tendon rupture (a tear in the tendon that attaches the kneecap to the shinbone) took me out of the water last April, it took me nine months to get myself back into my favorite place in the world–the ocean. Our home in New Jersey was about to get hit by a massive snow storm (Juno), so we packed up and headed to Melbourne Beach, Florida so I could shred again in warm water! Here’s how it went…
