Editor’s Note: #My5Lineups is a series highlighting five of a featured photographer’s favorite lineup shots. The eighteenth in the series is New York-based photographer, James Parascandola .
Longboarding was always one of my main interests growing up as a surfer. And as I grew into photography, I began to appreciate it even more. There is a feeling of peace when watching someone on a longboard that shortboarding cannot match. The smoothness, the trimming, and, of course, the style. There is no other feeling in the world that can match the grip of your toes around the nose of a board with your line set into the sunset. Longboarding is an art, a true way of expression through board and wave. There will never be two longboard styles completely alike.
