The Inertia

When it comes to surfing, style is very important. Regular Joes might have a bit of it here and there, but for the most part, “average” surfers tend to lack that certain je ne c’est quoi that makes a really stylish surfer a really stylish surfer. Two surfers who have it? Tommy Witt and Corey Colapinto.

Both know surfboards at a microscopic level. They hone their craft, both with tools in a shed and out in the water. They know the little tweaks to make big changes in a surfboard. They both surf with a kind of ease and grace that is about as close as it gets to seeing how surfing feels. In the video above, they put their talents on display on a recent trip to Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

They’re riding a variety of surfboards, ranging from a 10’6″ to a 6’5″, and video makes it crystal clear that these two are at the top of the style game.
