And there’s something about his style and presence that could perhaps label him as the Gerry Lopez of the Basque Country. But we’ll reserve that discussion for another place and time. Here’s the 40-year-old Basque madman keeping a calm, collection demeanor and perma-smile while charging some of the heaviest waves around the globe, including Meñakoz, Mundaka, Punta Galea, Namibia, Madeira, and Pascuales.
