The Inertia

December 18th was a day to remember in New Jersey. It’s a heavy claim, but the term “biggest day ever” is being thrown around. Those who decided to paddle out certainly had their work cut out for them, but there were a handful of waves ridden that made the juice worth the squeeze.

“One claim we are totally comfortable throwing around is that it was definitely the biggest surf I’ve ever seen here,” wrote the Numbskulls on YouTube. “Some of the heaviest, too. While there definitely were some empty waves as big and perfect as you can ask for at a beachbreak, it was definitely a challenge with the size of the waves, the outgoing tide all day, and the 14 second period. None the less, having the rare opportunity to experience energy like that so close to home made for a really memorable day.”
