Everybody loves a good shorebreak romp with their friends. When you think about it, the overall objective isn’t far off from your average surf session: find yourself inside the barrel as deep and as often as possible and watch your friends celebrate. Only, when it all takes place splashing around in waist-high water with tiny waves as the source of entertainment, you somehow end up enjoying all that sand you ate a little more. People get top-roped pulling into closeouts, covered up, tumbled around, and there is likely a fair amount of laughing. The entire affair is more a wipeout reel than anything else.
Here are four minutes of Blair Conklin, Kalani Robb, Johnny Redmond, and Perry Pruitt charging some Orange County shorebreak slabs at Aliso Beach. The morning served up a lot of donuts.
