Irish filmmaker Stephen Kilfeather put this solid three-minute piece together highlighting Irish slab surfing. In this case, Irish bodyboarding. The video appears on a YouTube channel for Sligo Surf Experiences, a surf school run by Seamus McGoldrick in Northwestern Ireland’s Sligo County. Seamus or “Shambles” is rather gifted on a foam boogie board, as you can see – bodyboarders were instrumental in opening up some of the heaviest slabs on Ireland’s West Coast. So it’s easy to see why Shambles lives for moments like these.
