It’s summer in North America. For some places, like the Northeast, Southern California, or even the Pacific Northwest, September is about to signal a second summer. Fantastic weather, hurricane swells, combo swells, warm water temps – all of which mean there’ll surely be more people in the water. Which also means it’s a good time to review the rules. Namely, don’t drop in on people. Don’t take off on other people’s waves, and if you do, kick out immediately. Here are three examples of blatant drop-ins at Uluwatu, which is enjoying a fine summer season. But we can look to Bali as a show of what not to do as our second summer starts here in the States. Don’t drop in.
