When I heard the news about two old Dutch friends going to Ireland for a tow surfing adventure, I was compelled to come along with a camera. There are probably only a handful of big wave surfers in Holland and I knew this was my chance to witness them in action with my own two eyes.
We stayed in the town of Bundoran, close to the notorious wave of Mullaghmore. It took ten days for the elements to finally align, giving us time to explore Ireland in the meantime. But when the beast finally came alive, the guys caught waves that were undoubtedly some of the biggest ever surfed by a Dutchman.
