The 2015 Quiksilver Pro France, stop number nine on the 2015 Men’s Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour, has a waiting period that begins on Tuesday, October 6th and runs through Saturday, October 17th. The heavy beach breaks known as La Graviere and Estagnots on the southern coast of France are the venues for the 2015 Quiksilver Pro France, which offer up fast, hollow waves with plenty of opportunities for deep barrels and high-performance ramps.
Defending event champion John John Florence, current world number 18, will apply his fan-favorite casual approach of highly creative barrel riding and aerial surfing in pursuit of earning back-to-back Quiksilver Pro France event titles. Three-time World Champion and current world number one Mick Fanning has won the Quiksilver Pro France a record four times (2007, 2009, 2010, and 2013). Mick currently holds a slim 1,750-point Jeep Leaderboard lead over world number two, Adriano de Souza, going into France. Carrying confidence and momentum from his recent triumph at the Hurley Pro at Trestles, Mick may very well convert yet another solid result at the Quiksilver Pro France, which will give him a giant leap closer towards a fourth world title.

The top 34 surfers not competing at the 2015 Quiksilver Pro France include: Taj Burrow (birth of first child), Jordy Smith (injured), Freddy Patacchia (retired), and Matt Banting (injured). Replacement surfers are Alejo Muniz, Tomas Hermes, Aritz Aranburu, and Caio Ibelli. Dane Reynolds and Maxime Huscenot have been named as the WSL Wildcards, completing the field of 36 surfers competing for the 2015 Quiksilver Pro France title.
The 2015 Roxy Pro France waiting period runs parallel to the 2015 Quiksilver Pro France, and highlights an exciting world title race between current world number one, Courtney Conlogue, and number two, Carissa Moore. With a mere 2,300 points separating these two surfers, the 2015 Roxy Pro France may play a major role in determining the 2015 WSL Women’s Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour title.

Defending event champion Tyler Wright, current world number seven, has yet to make a final in 2015 and will battle fiercely to podium this year in France. Chelsea Tuach has been awarded the WSL wildcard for the 2015 Roxy Pro France.
The Surfline forecast for the 2015 Quiksilver/Roxy Pro France events calls for minor surf to open contest waiting period while a more favorable storm track over the North Atlantic sets up the potential for more surf towards the 8th and 9th and into the following weekend.
